Becoming Part of our Church Family

I want to Discover First Family Church! What do I do?

Come join First Family’s staff for an informational luncheon. This will be a tremendous opportunity for you to learn how First Family can strengthen and enrich your family spiritually.

Your membership means more than simply signing a piece of paper. Becoming a member of First Family Church expresses your commitment to this “spiritual family,” a family that worships together, grows in faith together, and serves one another.

To join First Family Church please attend our next Discover First Family Luncheon Click here. We provide a review of First Family Church's history and an overview of our FFC Covenants and Statement of Faith. If you're interested in membership, you may join at the conclusion of the Discover FFC Luncheon.

We are committed to connecting with you and desire to help you solidify your faith and find your place at First Family Church. To become even more connected to FFC we encourage you to attend our Discover First Family Class. Click here

Please call or send us an email to register and let us know how many will be attending this free session.

Contact Ryan Holt at ryanh@ffc.org or at 913-681-3341 ext. 1108

The Next Discover "First Family Luncheon" is slated for June 27, 2010 at 12:00pm.

First Family Church Covenants

1. The Membership Covenant...
is a commitment to CHRIST and the First Family Church family.
"You are a member of God's very own family…and you belong in God's household with every other Christian." Ephesians 2:19 (LB)
"We are all parts of Christ's Body, and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we each have different work to do. So we belong to each other and need all the others." Romans 12:4, 5

2. The Maturity Covenant...
is a commitment to the HABITS necessary for spiritual growth. "Continue to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 3:18
"Take the time and trouble to keep yourself spiritually fit." 1 Timothy 4:7 (Ph)

3. The Ministry Covenant...

is a commitment to discovering and using my God-given gifts and abilities in SERVING God and others through my Church.
"God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other." 1 Peter4:10 (LB)
"There are different kinds of service to God…together you form the Body of Christ and each of you is a necessary part of it." I Cor. 12:5, 27 (LB)

4. THE Missions Covenant...

is a commitment to SHARE the Good News with others.
"...you will be witnesses for Me…to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (GN)
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do it with gentleness and respect..." 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV)

The Meaning of Membership

For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another." Romans 12:4-5

Church membership is not a means of salvation; becoming a member of First Family Church or any other church does not assure anyone of eternal life in heaven. Church membership also is not a requirement for worshipping or serving at First Family Church, and it is not a command found in the Bible. The Bible does tell believers, however, to meet regularly with a group of Christians who love, serve, and encourage one another (see Ephesians 4:16, I Timothy 3:15, and Romans 12:4-5).

Still Have Questions?
We want to make this easy yet keep it meaningful. If the process described above leaves you with questions, call us at the church at 913-681-3341, or contact us online at ryanh@ffc.org.
