A practical step by step teaching on the book of James
Christie Johnston has spent 30 years in the ministry alongside her husband, Senior Pastor Jerry Johnston. Seventeen years were spent in ministering in one-on-one and mass evangelistic crusades across North America. During the last 12 years, Christie has assisted Pastor Jerry in founding a new-church plant-FIRST FAMILY CHURCH. In the fall of 2006, Christie enrolled as a full-time student at Midwestern Baptist College graduating-Highest Honors- with a BA in Biblical Studies in May 2007. Currently, Christie is Seminary Student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and plans on earning her Masters of Divinity in May 2009.

Description: Whether you are single again and dating, in a serious relationship already, or contemplating remarriage, this class will help you sort through the unique challenges of remarriage. Having previous experience with marriage, unfortunately is not the best predictor of success. In fact, remarriage is often the triumph of hope over your past experience. Come and learn how you can build a healthy remarriage on God’s principles.

Raising Xceptional Kids (Rx Kids)
Proverbs 13:24 "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly." Discipline is a subject that EVERY parent deals with. What is age-appropriate discipline? Is it alright to spank my child? But I want my child to like me! This week in Raising Xceptional Kids (Rx Kids), our parenting class will go over the answers to these questions and much more dealing with your child and discipline! It is the parents' responsibility to teach their child the difference between right and wrong, the meaning of consequences, and the value of rewards. This requires our children to see the parent as the ultimate earthly authority. The parent must first teach the child to respect and obey. Your job as a parent is to train your child's heart to want to do right out of devotion to God. Join us in Raising Xceptional Kids (Rx Kids), our parenting class this Sunday, August 3rd at 10:45am in room 205 (upstairs loft next to First Kidz) as we cover this important parenting topic.
